La Superior Taqueria: Discover Authentic Mexican Flavor in San Jose

This is one of me and my boyfriend’s go to Mexican spots! The food is super good and they have great Mexican treats.

Great food! Authentic and delicious. Some meats are on the dry side and their refried beans are a bit soupy but the flavors are spot on and overall delicious. My family thinks this place is a gem! I love their al pastor and chili verde and green salsa! My husband said it feels like he is in a Latin mother's kitchen and they have the best arroz con leche. You can get pan dulce, cakes, tamales, burritos, street tacos, quesadillas, chicharrones and aquas frescas.

To be honest, I had no expectations going in, but I left pleasantly surprised. From the service to the overall care of the business, La Superior Taquería proved to be a great spot to grab some bread and maybe a little something for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful — I was a bit confused about where to put the utensils after use, but they answered my questions kindly and made sure I had everything I needed. I also appreciated that digital payment was available, making checkout simple and quick. Overall, it’s a respectful, well-run business, and I would gladly return.

I came here for breakfast one morning, and we ordered a huevos con chorizo plate. It was so good. It was well-cooked and made with fresh tortillas.

I haven’t had a burrito this good in awhile. I was looking for lunch while dropping my mom off on errands and found this place online. It has good reviews so I wanted to check it out. I’m glad I did because the food is so good! I got an al pastor super burrito and they loaded it up. The meat and fillings were well seasoned and they’re very generous with the guacamole in it. Highly recommend! The store is cute and has a lot of offering available. There’s pan dulce, the usual taqueria things, and even chicharrón they make in house. Definitely want to check it out again.

Had a burrito it was 8 out of 10. Still good. Looks like they have other type of dishes. They also carry fresh pastry.

Great place! They have bakery section with various cookies and pastries, they have freezers with some other desserts - like jellies. And obviously they have amazing Mexican food of all varieties. Dishes are not very fancy, look more like what you can cook at home, but nevertheless they taste amazing. Place have some nice decorations on the windows, and they also have beautiful tiles on the walls and tables. This place feels like it’s run by simple hardworking folks, they will always have my support
